Rajshahi: Police in Rajshahi district have successfully recovered 56 lost mobile phones and returned them to their rightful owners. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the owners had filed General Diaries (GD) at various police stations across the district after losing their phones in several areas.
District police sources reported that 56 individuals filed GDs at eight different police stations in Rajshahi at various times concerning their lost mobile phones. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) branch of the Police Superintendent's Office conducted a technical investigation based on these GDs, leading to the recovery of the 56 mobile phones.
The recovered phones included a variety of brands: 11 Vivo, 10 Samsung, seven Xiaomi, eight Realme, three Infinix, one Itel, three Tecno, two Oppo, four Walton, two Nokia, one GDL, two Poco, and two Symphony.
The recovered mobiles were handed over to their owners during a ceremony at the conference room of the Rajshahi Police Superintendent's office. Police Super Mamun Or Rashid expressed his satisfaction at being able to return the mobile phones to their owners, stating, "We are happy to be able to return the recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners. I believe the scope of this success will expand further in the future."
The event was attended by senior officials of the district police, including Additional Police Super (Crime and Ops) ATM Mainul Islam and Additional Police Super (DSB) Sabina Yasmin. The owners of the recovered phones expressed their satisfaction and praised the district police for their initiative, expressing hope that such services will continue in the future to assist the community.
