Chattogram: Abu Sufian, Member of Parliament for the Chattogram-9 constituency, emphasized the need for expanding technical education to cultivate a skilled and job-oriented workforce crucial for the nation's development and economic growth. He stressed that reliance solely on formal education is inadequate in the modern context, advocating for equipping students with modern technology, creativity, and practical skills.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abu Sufian made these statements at the 'SSC Result Celebration and Science Fair-2026' event held at the UCEP Char-Chaktai Technical School in South Bakalia, where he served as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Engineer Masud Alam, Regional Manager of UCEP Chattogram, and included a presentation by the school's headmaster, Jahura Khanam, who outlined the school's recent activities and the students' accomplishments.
During the event, Abu Sufian awarded crests to students who achieved GPA-5 in their SSC examinations. Following the ceremony, he toured various stalls at the science fair, engaging with students and observing their projects.
