Dhaka: The government has announced new fuel oil prices at the consumer level, set to take effect from September 21. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division released an official notification detailing the adjusted prices today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the revised prices are Tk 135 per litre for diesel, Tk 165 for octane, Tk 160 for petrol, and Tk 155 for kerosene. This marks an increase from the prices set on August 31, which were Tk 115 per litre for diesel, Tk 145 for octane, Tk 140 for petrol, and Tk 135 for kerosene, and which were effective from September 1.
The adjustment in fuel prices comes as part of the government's regular review and pricing strategy to align with market dynamics and other influencing factors. The new pricing structure aims to reflect changes and ensure a consistent supply of fuel in the market.
