Dhaka: Two people have died from dengue, and 1,232 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours until 8:00am on Saturday. This development has increased the dengue death toll to 178 in the country this year, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to United News of Bangladesh, the two recent deaths were reported within the Dhaka South City Corporation area. Currently, 4,131 dengue patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals nationwide.
Since January 1 of this year, 60,379 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country. Among them, 56,070 have recovered from the illness.
