Dhaka: Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad) declared that Muslims worldwide will unite to counter any threats against the holy cities of Mecca and Madinah.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the minister emphasized that millions of Muslims are prepared to sacrifice their lives, if necessary, to defend the sanctity and dignity of these sacred sites. In a strongly worded statement to the media, he condemned any potential threats or attacks on Mecca and Madinah, highlighting their significance as revered places of worship and centers of faith for Muslims globally.
Kaikobad reiterated the all-encompassing responsibility of the Muslim Ummah to safeguard the holy cities' sanctity and security. He expressed unwavering support for the statements made by the two imams of Al-Haramain, emphasizing that any form of aggression or conspiracy against these cities is unacceptable.
The minister reassured that the people of Bangladesh remain steadfast in their commitment to protect the security, dignity, and sanctity of Mecca and Madinah. He urged all Muslim states and communities to set aside differences and unite under Islam's banner to collectively resist any present or future threats to the holy lands.
In his concluding remarks, he prayed for the continued security of Mecca and Madinah and for peace, unity, and the wellbeing of the global Muslim community.
