Kishoreganj: A 26-year-old youth, Nasir Uddin, died after being electrocuted while installing a new electric fan at his home in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj today. Nasir Uddin, the son of Salam Mia, was employed at a paper manufacturing company in Dhaka.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Karimganj Police Station Mohammad Bahar reported that Nasir was rushed to a hospital in Kishoreganj in critical condition. Unfortunately, the on-duty physicians declared him dead upon arrival this afternoon.
OC Mohammad Bahar further stated that since there was no complaint from Nasir Uddin's family, the body was subsequently handed over to them. The tragic incident has left the community in mourning, highlighting the risks associated with electrical installations without proper safety measures.
