Vienna: Science and Technology Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Deputy Director General for Human Resources Margaret Doane have discussed expanding internship and employment opportunities for Bangladeshi students and professionals at the IAEA during a meeting in Vienna, Austria today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting focused on increasing internship opportunities at the IAEA for Bangladeshi nationals, particularly government officials, developing their professional skills, and expanding opportunities for recruitment to various positions, said a ministry press release.
Emphasis was laid on creating opportunities for Bangladesh's young students, researchers, and professionals in the science and technology sector to work at the international level, and on further strengthening cooperation with the IAEA to develop their skills.
Views were also exchanged on enhancing mutual cooperation between Bangladesh and the IAEA and further strengthening Bangladesh's capacity in the peaceful use of nuclear science and technology through human resource development.
Bangladesh's Permanent Representative and Ambassador to Vienna Toufiq Hasan and Chairman of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission Dr. M Moinul Islam were present on the occasion.
