Dhaka: Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Sa Ching Prue emphasized the critical role that talented students must play in future nation-building during a reception for successful SSC 2026 students at the Small Ethnic Cultural Institute auditorium in Bandarban.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Minister Sa Ching Prue addressed the gathering as the chief guest, where he highlighted the government's commitment, under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership, to identify and nurture talented students. He pointed out that the country faces various challenges in the education sector, particularly the shortage of qualified teachers, which he termed as a national problem.
The minister assured attendees that necessary steps would be implemented to alleviate the shortage of quality educators in Bandarban. Reflecting on his tenure as chairman of the Bandarban Hill District Council, he noted his focus on establishing junior high schools in the district, which have significantly contributed to expanding educational opportunities in the region.
Sa Ching Prue urged students to balance their academic pursuits with sports for overall physical and mental development. He also encouraged the youth to actively participate in resolving the region's water crisis and environmental protection efforts.
The event, organized by the Bandarban Government High School Alumnae Association, also featured Bandarban Hill District Council Chairman Mamaching as the special guest. The association's Vice-President, Win Mong Jolly, chaired the event.
