Govt to Establish Nursing and Dental Colleges in Shahjadpur: Muhit

Dhaka: State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. MA Muhit today announced that an initiative is underway to establish a nursing college and a dental college in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj district, aimed at expanding specialized medical education in the region. Dr. Muhit shared these plans while addressing a civic reception organized by the Shahjadpur Upazila Welfare Association at Segunbagicha in Dhaka.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister emphasized the ongoing efforts to modernize the communication and transportation systems in Shahjadpur. He highlighted the plans to improve the quality of services at the Upazila Health Complex, which forms part of the broader development initiatives in the area.

Dr. Muhit also outlined plans for a large new hospital in the eastern part of Shahjadpur, alongside the nursing and dental colleges. In addition, he announced plans to establish playgrounds and cultural complexes in every union to engage young people and initiatives to promote the region's traditional handloom and dairy industries.
