BSTI Destroys Over 600 Water Jars in Motijheel Drive

Motijheel: The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) today destroyed more than 600 water jars at two establishments in the Arambagh area of Motijheel for allegedly supplying water in unhygienic and dirty jars and marketing water without BSTI quality certification. The jars were destroyed during a special surveillance drive conducted in the capital today, BSTI said.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BSTI Director General (Secretary) Kazi Imdadul Haque stated that the institution's drives against adulterated and substandard products would continue. He emphasized the importance of consumers verifying BSTI's quality mark, licence, and other necessary information before purchasing products.
