Manikganj: Scout Adventure and Scout Day 2026 were observed here in the district today with an attractive display and cultural programme at the Manikganj Shaheed Miraj-Tapon Stadium. Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita attended the programme as the chief guest. Deputy Commissioner and President of Manikganj District Scouts Nazmun Ara presided over the programme. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) and Manikganj District Scouts Commissioner Khayrul Islam, along with Scout commissioners and secretaries from all seven upazilas of the district, attended the event. Speaking as the chief guest, Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita emphasized the importance of Scouts developing into worthy citizens by upholding discipline, honesty, responsibility, and patriotism. Scouts presented various displays highlighting humanitarian values, leadership, and patriotism, underscoring the day's theme. The minister further stated the necessity of a modern Scout Bhaban and a swimmi ng pool for Scouts' training, assuring attendees that she would take initiatives to establish these facilities.
