Feni District BNP Plans Grand Reception for Prime Minister’s October Visit

Feni: Feni district BNP held a meeting here today as part of its preparation to accord a grand reception to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman during his visit to Feni on October 1. Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister and BNP Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo attended the meeting as the chief guest.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mintoo addressed the meeting, stating the party's plans to organize a large gathering to welcome the Prime Minister. He emphasized the pride associated with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, calling him the son of their leader, and highlighted the slogan, "Khaleda is Feni's daughter, our pride is unique."

Mintoo also noted that the people of Feni have longstanding demands, including the establishment of a medical college, a public university, and the construction of the Muchapur Closure. He expressed hope that the Prime Minister would listen to these demands and work towards fulfilling them.

The meeting was presided over by District BNP Convener Sheikh Farid Bahar and moderated by its Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal. Other notable attendees included adviser to the BNP chairman Prof Zainal Abedin, MP, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Munsi Rafiqul Alam Majnu, MP, Rehana Akter Ranu, MP (reserved women's seat), BNP Central Joint Secretary Belal Ahmed, and National Committee member Abu Taleb.
