Mirpur Division Tops Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s August Performance Rankings

Mirpur: Mirpur Division has been named the best-performing unit among the crime divisions of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) for August, while Mirpur Model Police Station secured the top position among the city's police stations.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DMP Commissioner Musleh Uddin Ahmed handed over awards to police officials in different categories at the monthly crime review meeting at DMP Headquarters today in recognition of their outstanding performance in maintaining law and order, controlling crime, and ensuring public safety.

Uttara-West Police Station ranked second and Shahjahanpur Police Station third in the overall assessment. Among assistant commissioners, Mirpur Zone's AC Abul Basar Molla secured first place, while Mohammadpur Zone's AC Md Abdullah Al Mamun ranked second.

Among sub-inspectors (SIs), Mirpur Police Station's SI Md Delwar Hossain ranked first, followed by Jatrabari Police Station's SI Mahibullah and Banani Police Station's SI Jumman Khan. Mohammadpur Police Station's ASI Md Kamal Uddin was named the best among assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs). Jatrabari Police Station's ASI Md Akhteruzzaman Mondal Palash ranked second and Paltan Police Station's ASI Md Nazim Uddin third.

In the Detective Branch (DB), DB-Lalbagh Division was adjudged the best-performing unit. Additional Deputy Commissioner Enayet Kabir Shoeb, team leader of the Organised Crime and Vehicle Theft Prevention Team of DB-Lalbagh, was named the best team leader. In the Traffic Division, Traffic-Mirpur Division secured the top position. Mirpur Traffic Zone's Sergeant Md Shamsuddin Sarker ranked first among traffic sergeants, while Jatrabari Traffic Zone's Sergeant Tutul Malo ranked second.

Senior DMP officials, including additional police commissioners, joint commissioners, deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, and officers-in-charge of all police stations, attended the meeting.
