President Urges Universities to Strengthen Research and Policy Activities

President mirza fakhrul islam alamgir on monday urged universities to step up policymaking and research activities to improve the quality of higher education: During separate courtesy calls at Bangabhaban, delegations from Khulna University and Islamic University were reminded by the President of the need for enhanced educational standards.

According to United News of Bangladesh, President Alamgir, serving as the Chancellor of the universities, emphasized the importance of quality education and directed the concerned authorities to prioritize it. He encouraged university authorities to make every effort to ensure that students can establish themselves as competent professionals at both national and international levels after obtaining their degrees.

During the meetings, the vice-chancellors briefed the President on the overall activities of Khulna University and Islamic University. The President highlighted that the government is working diligently to rebuild and improve the country's education system, which had been devastated and disrupted during the fascist regime.

The delegation from Khulna University was led by its Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Rezaul Karim, while the Islamic University delegation was headed by its Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AKM Motinur Rahman. Relevant secretaries of the President's Office were also present during the meetings.
