Education Assistance Distributed Among Poor, Meritorious Students in Khulna

Khulna: Education assistance was distributed among poor and meritorious students from the government's Special Grant Fund, Khulna Trust, and Sayedpur Trust at a function held at the Khulna Deputy Commissioner's conference room this afternoon. Bangladesh National Parliament Whip Rakibul Islam was present as the chief guest at the function.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the whip emphasized the government's commitment to encouraging students in their studies and supporting meritorious students from financially disadvantaged families through the Special Grant Fund. He noted that such initiatives would play an important role in helping students continue their education successfully, and assured that more poor and meritorious students would be included in such assistance programs in the future.

Khulna Deputy Commissioner Hoore Jannat presided over the function, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Kaniz Fatema Liza addressed the audience as a special guest. The event was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bitan Kumar Mondal, Paikgacha UNO, the president of Khulna Press Club, students, guardians, and journalists.

A total of 36 students received education assistance worth around Taka 5.5 lakh. The support included cash cheques, bicycles, school bags, laptops, and sewing machines. Additionally, education materials were provided to two educational institutions, further aiding the educational development in the region.
