Dhaka: The holy Fateha-e-Yazdaham will be observed across the country on September 23 (Wednesday) next. The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Baitul Mukarram conference room of the Islamic Foundation (IF) following the sighting of the moon of the Holy month of Rabius Sani in the sky of Bangladesh yesterday. Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad chaired the meeting.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, every year, this day is observed on the 11th day of the Islamic lunar month of Rabius Sani, commemorating the death of Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA), a great Islamic scholar.
