Adani’s Unit-2 Resumes Supply to Bangladesh Grid

Dhaka: Power supply to the national grid from Adani Power's Unit-2 of the Godda power plant in Jharkhand, India, has resumed today. The unit had been non-operational due to a technical fault since Thursday midnight.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after repairing the fault, the power supply to Bangladesh has recommenced, connecting the 800MW unit with the national grid of Bangladesh at 12:04 PM today. Mohammad Jahurul Islam, member (Generation) of the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), confirmed the restoration.

Currently, generation from the unit is increasing gradually, he added.
