Dhaka: Parliamentary Whip Advocate Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu on Sunday asserted that every killing over the past 17 years will face justice and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be subject to the people's trial.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Dulu claimed that Delwar Hossain Sayeedi was executed despite not being involved with Jamaat-e-Islami. He further criticized the execution of BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, stating that Chowdhury was in England at the time and was falsely convicted. Dulu shared that Chowdhury had recounted his journey from Pakistan to London through Lahore, Iran, and Turkey while in jail.
Dulu made these statements at a discussion titled 'Success of the Current Government', organized by the Uttaranchal Jatiyatabadi Forum at the National Press Club. He emphasized that all killings from the past 17 years will be tried and implied that Sheikh Hasina will face consequences.
He urged not to instill fear among the people of Bangladesh through threats and intimidation, assuring that the democratic process will not be disrupted again. Dulu asserted that the current government came to power with the people's mandate.
Addressing Sheikh Hasina, Dulu challenged her to clarify her plans to return to Bangladesh, questioning whether it would be in December 2030 or December 2050. He referred to the bloodshed during the July uprising, emphasizing that justice is yet to be served.
During the event, Dulu announced the formation of a 126-member partial committee of the North Bengal Nationalist Forum, congratulating its key members including Convener Ishaq Ali and General Secretary Abbas Ali.
