PM Visits Injured Army Officer at CMH, Wishes Speedy Recovery

Dhaka: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today visited an army officer undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the army officer was critically injured in an accident during a tank firing exercise at the Hathazari Field Firing Range in Chattogram Wednesday. The prime minister visited the CMH at noon and enquired about the physical condition of the injured officer and wished him a speedy and complete recovery, said his Deputy Press Secretary Suzauddoula (Sujon Mahmud).

He mentioned that the Prime Minister gave necessary instructions to the concerned authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured officer. The Prime Minister also spoke to the injured officer and his family members, offering them courage and consolation.

The accident resulted in the tragic deaths of two Bangladesh Army soldiers while the officer was critically injured. The injured officer was subsequently airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for advanced treatment. The deputy press secretary added that the prime minister expressed profound grief over the deaths of the two army personnel and conveyed his sympathy to their bereaved families.
