Rangpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 recovered 6,390 pieces of Yaba tablets in an abandoned state from the Pirjabad Dargapara area, Kotwali police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police early this morning. Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Crime Prevention Specialized Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 from Rangpur raided the area at 1:30 am and recovered the Yaba tablets in an abandoned condition, a press release said today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, no arrests were made during the operation, as the unidentified fugitive accused cleverly left the illegal goods behind. The elite force filed a case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 in this incident. It handed over the seized drugs to Kotwali police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police for further legal action.
