Jhalokathi: A rest house was inaugurated today at the Bhimruli floating guava garden area in Sadar Upazila of the district for the convenience of tourists.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inauguration of the rest house aims to enhance the tourist experience in the region, which is renowned for its picturesque floating guava gardens. Alongside the opening of the rest house, dustbins were distributed among local residents. This initiative is part of a broader effort to implement floating waste treatment and promote green boat-certified tourism, focusing on cleanliness and environmental protection.
Jhalokathi deputy commissioner Md. Momin Uddin led the inauguration ceremony for the rest house, which was constructed at a cost of Taka 750,000.
