Rajshahi: The monthly welfare meeting of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) took place at the Drill Shed of the Police Lines today, with RMP Commissioner Mohammad Foyezul Kabir presiding over the proceedings.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting focused on various applications submitted by police personnel, highlighting both their personal and professional challenges, alongside other welfare-related issues. The police commissioner attentively listened to the concerns brought forward by the members, ensuring a thorough review of the issues. He emphasized the importance of addressing these concerns promptly and instructed the relevant officers to take necessary actions for the timely and effective resolution of legitimate problems.
During the meeting, the commissioner underscored the significance of police welfare, stressing that alongside professional duties, the well-being and morale of police personnel are equally crucial. He highlighted the necessity of providing nutritious food to maintain the health and efficiency of the police force. Additionally, he directed concerned authorities to supply necessary sports equipment to every police station and unit, aiming to support the physical and mental well-being of police members.
The commissioner also remarked that improving the welfare of police members, boosting their morale, and enhancing their working environment are vital steps towards developing an efficient, humane, and community-friendly police force. He reaffirmed Rajshahi Metropolitan Police's commitment to ensuring the welfare of its personnel.
Concluding the meeting, the commissioner honored a police inspector, three constables, and an MLSS with crests during a retirement felicitation ceremony. He expressed gratitude and extended best wishes to the retiring police and non-police personnel for their long-standing and dedicated service.
