CTTC Apprehends Man Wanted for One-Year Jail Term and Fine

Dhaka: The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police has successfully apprehended Md Kamrul Hasan Sarkar, a 45-year-old man who was wanted in connection with a case that carries a one-year imprisonment sentence and a fine of Tk 30 lakh.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest took place during a CTTC operation in the South Khan area of Dhaka at approximately 9:35 pm on Saturday. A police press release confirmed that Sarkar was wanted under a Criminal Revision (CR) warrant issued after a court had sentenced him to both a year in prison and the substantial financial penalty.

Following his capture, Sarkar was transferred to the Uttara East Police Station, where he will face further legal proceedings.
