Rain Expected Across Multiple Divisions in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours, commencing at 9 am. "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the bulletin also highlighted that moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country. Day temperature may fall slightly, while night temperature might remain nearly unchanged across Bangladesh. Rangpur recorded the highest temperature on Saturday at 34.2 degrees Celsius, while Tangail experienced the lowest temperature today at 23.2 degrees Celsius.

In the last 24 hours, Chandpur witnessed the highest rainfall with 52 millimetres. The sun is expected to set at 6:12 pm today and rise at 5:42 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
