Dhaka: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are anticipated in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9 am on Saturday, as reported by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

According to United News of Bangladesh, the weather forecast indicates that regions including Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience these weather conditions, while a few locations in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions may also see moderately heavy falls. The bulletin from the Met office further noted that day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.

The persistent well-marked low over Madhya Pradesh and the adjoining area is likely to weaken gradually and merge with the monsoon axis. The axis of monsoon troughs extends through Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, the center of the well-marked low, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across the southern part of Bangladesh. Additionally, one of its associated troughs extends up to the North Bay.

Currently, the monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay, contributing to the expected weather conditions in the coming hours.
