Dhaka: The third meeting of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Finance of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) convened today at the JS Bhaban, chaired by Committee Chairman Mushfiqur Rahman. The session concentrated on a detailed examination of the Bank Resolution (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the committee conducted a comprehensive scrutiny and review of the bill, subsequently recommending its passage in Parliament with amendments. This decision was announced via a press release from the Parliament Secretariat.
The meeting was attended by key figures, including Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Chief Whip Md. Nurul Islam Moni, and lawmakers Moinul Islam Khan, Md Shahadat Hossain, Md Saiful Alam, and Syed Zainul Abedin. Additionally, secretaries from the Financial Institutions Division and the Finance Division, senior officials from Bangladesh Bank, and representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat were present.
