Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has announced that the deadline for submitting voter transfer applications for the upcoming local government elections will remain open until September 7. This extension is intended to accommodate voters needing to update their registration due to a change of residence.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the EC issued an official letter outlining the detailed schedule for submitting, issuing, and processing voter transfer applications. The deadline for submission is set for September 7, with the issuance of applications to be completed by September 9. The final date for the disposal of these applications is September 10.
The letter emphasized the importance of adhering to this schedule and urged all relevant authorities, including upazilas, police stations, and registration officers across the country, to take the necessary steps to ensure the efficient processing of voter transfer applications.
