Nepal to Overcome Challenges with Fortitude: Humaiun Kobir

Dhaka: State Minister-1 for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir on Tuesday signed the condolence book at the Nepal Embassy in Dhaka on behalf of the Bangladesh Government following the sudden devastating floods and mudslide in northern Nepal recently. “As we stand together, we are confident in the resilience and strength of the people of Nepal to overcome the challenges with fortitude,” the State Minister wrote.



According to United News of Bangladesh, on behalf of the Government and the people of Bangladesh, Humaiun Kobir extended their heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the Government and the friendly people of Nepal for the death of hundreds of people, including tourists, and the large-scale destruction of properties and infrastructure following the sudden devastating floods and mudslide in northern Nepal on 26 August 2026.



At this hour of profound grief, he said their sincere thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this terrible tragedy. The State Minister emphasized that Bangladesh expresses solidarity with the friendly people of Nepal and stands ready to extend any kind of assistance as required.
