Bogura: State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Mir Shahe Alam today emphasized that the government is dedicated to systematically addressing the needs and expectations of the populace. He articulated the government's commitment to establishing a sustainable and well-planned power and energy system, aligning with both national development goals and public needs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the state minister made these remarks during a visit to pay tribute at the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He was accompanied by leaders from the BNP's Mokamtala upazila unit of Bogura district. During his address, he encouraged the new party leadership to maintain unity, discipline, and prioritize public welfare.
The state minister also discussed several key issues, including the current power and energy situation, local government elections, and regulations for e-rickshaws. He mentioned that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to present the government's strategic plans for the power and energy sector in Parliament, covering short, medium, and long-term objectives.
Mir Shahe Alam highlighted the importance of fair and participatory local government elections for strengthening these institutions, noting that elections are slated for completion within the current fiscal year. He underscored that each government initiative is focused on public welfare, good governance, and enhancing national development. To achieve these goals, he urged government officials to work responsibly and collaboratively.
