Dhaka: Rumel Khan emerged as the champion in the table tennis singles event of the Cute-BSPA Sports Carnival held today at the Wooden Floor in Paltan. Shamim Hasan finished as runner-up, while Mahmudunnabi Chanchal secured third place in this fiercely contested event.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the doubles event saw Mohammad Sazzad Hossain Mukul and Shamsul Arefin claim the championship title. The pair of Shamim Hasan and Sheikh Sadi finished in second place, while Rumel Khan and Mahmudunnabi Chanchal secured third place in the doubles category.
Meanwhile, the sports carnival will continue with carrom singles and doubles events scheduled for tomorrow. The doubles event will feature quarter-final matches, while the singles competition will include second-round matches, adding to the excitement of the ongoing carnival.
