Dhaka: The Health Ministry has extended the validity of recruitment clearance for 1,855 posts under the Directorate General of Family Planning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fresh decision ensures that the recruitment clearance for posts ranging from Grade 11 to Grade 20 will remain valid until June 30, 2027. This development follows a letter signed by Joint Secretary Muhammad Abdul Hossain, issued by the Health Education and Family Welfare Division under the Health Ministry.
The letter indicates that the original recruitment clearance, granted through three orders in 2019, was extended after the Directorate General of Family Planning applied on June 25, 2026. Under this clearance, 1,667 posts in 17 categories are available at the headquarters level, and 188 posts in four categories are available at the district level.
Notable posts at the headquarters include roles such as Medical Technologist (Laboratory), Family Welfare Visitor, Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist, and many others. The Medical Technologist (Laboratory) post is in Grade 11, with a pay scale from Taka 12,500 to Taka 30,230. The Family Welfare Visitor and Office Assistant-cum-Computer Typist posts are in Grades 14 and 16, with pay scales of Taka 10,200 to Taka 24,680 and Taka 9,300 to Taka 22,490, respectively.

Additionally, positions for Office Support Staff (MLSS) and Cook Helper have been included, with the Office Support Staff post in Grade 20, having a pay scale ranging from Taka 8,250 to Taka 20,010.
The letter also outlines several conditions for the recruitment process, emphasizing transparency and adherence to applicable rules. Direct recruitment is restricted to vacancies designated for this purpose, and authorities must complete the recruitment process within the extended validity period, by June 30, 2027. The relevant division of the ministry must be informed of recruitment outcomes within 15 working days post-completion.
The decision has been communicated to the Directorate General of Family Planning for immediate implementation.
