Dhaka: President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated his counterpart Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on assuming the Office of the President here. The Belarus President conveyed the greetings through a congratulatory letter issued from Minsk.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the message, President Lukashenko expressed his congratulations on Mirza Fakhrul’s victory in the presidential elections of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Belarus and Bangladesh, emphasizing their focus on developing a constructive bilateral dialogue.
The letter also stated Minsk’s readiness to enhance cooperation with Dhaka and elevate Belarusian-Bangladeshi relations. President Lukashenko expressed his anticipation for President Mirza Fakhrul’s support and participation in expanding cooperation to strengthen ties in various areas. He concluded the letter by wishing Mirza Fakhrul success in his public role and assuring him of high regard.
