Narail: A pedestrian was killed in a road accident at Laxmipasha area in Lohagora upazila of the district today. The deceased was identified as Md. Bachchu Khan, 65, a resident of Raipasha village in Kotakhol union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place at 12:30 pm when a bus hit Bachchu while he was crossing the road, leaving him injured critically. Locals rescued Bachchu and took him to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Lohagara Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Ajit Kumar Roy confirmed the matter.
