President Extends Greetings on Eid-e-Miladunnabi

Dhaka: President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today extended heartfelt greetings and Mubarakbad to the people of Bangladesh and Muslims across the world on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, which will be observed tomorrow.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a message, the Head of State described the advent of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as the greatest and most epoch-making event in human history. He said the Prophet (PBUH) emerged as a messenger of welfare and salvation for all humanity in this world and the hereafter.

The Holy Quran, a complete code of life and guidance for humankind, was revealed to him, while Islam was established as a religion of peace based on equality, brotherhood, and humanity, said Mirza Fakhrul. The President highlighted that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), through his life and deeds, set an unparalleled example of truth, justice, forgiveness, compassion, and human dignity. He upheld the rights of orphans, the poor, the helpless, and the deprived, while providing clear guidance on the rights of women, children, neighbors, and working people.

He emphasized that the lessons of human dignity, rights, equality, justice, and mutual responsibility that the Prophet (PBUH) conveyed in his Farewell Hajj (last sermon) remain universal and should always be followed by humanity. The President observed that the Prophet’s (PBUH) ideals of peace, justice, tolerance, love, and humanity are even more relevant in today’s world, which is beset by wars, conflicts, violence, discrimination, and intolerance.

He called upon all to draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), shun hatred, hostility, division, and injustice, and pledge to build a just society and state based on peace, harmony, equality, and humanity. President Mirza Fakhrul prayed to Almighty Allah for His mercy, blessings, peace, and welfare upon Bangladesh and people across the world. He also prayed for divine guidance to enable all to follow the life and teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
