Satkhira: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a bus in Patkelghata of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Ananda Das, 53, son of Krishna Pada Das of Shakdah village under Patkelghata Police Station in Tala upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 7.00am near Shakdah Bridge on the Satkhira-Khulna highway. Ananda Das was struck by a Sohag Paribahan bus while he was walking along the roadside and died at the scene.
Patkelghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Rahman confirmed the incident and stated that further legal proceedings are underway.
