Dhaka: BNP national standing committee member Amanullah Aman MP emphasized the foundational role played by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia in initiating the development of Keraniganj. Aman's remarks were made during the inaugural function for the repair of the 'Keraniganj-Kholamora-Harzatpur-Itabhara-Hemayetpur' road and the naming ceremony of the 'Shahid Kazi Nazim Uddin Bridge' at Hazratpur Union in Keraniganj.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Amanullah Aman highlighted that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman visited Keraniganj 23 times during his tenure, while Begum Khaleda Zia made 19 visits to the area. Their efforts included canal excavation and laying foundation stones for roads and bridges, marking the beginning of the area's development.
Aman further noted that, under the directive of the Prime Minister, repair work on this crucial road has commenced. He assured that all remaining development projects will be implemented in phases to continue the growth initiated by the former leaders.
