Rain Forecasted for Multiple Regions Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am. "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country. Additionally, day and night temperatures may fall slightly across the nation, indicating a potential shift towards cooler weather conditions.

The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi and Chuadanga, while today's minimum temperature was 24.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. In the last 24 hours (till 06 am today), the highest 58 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in Kutubdia.

The sun sets at 6:24 pm today and rises at 5:37 am tomorrow in Dhaka, providing a brief respite before the anticipated rainfall resumes.
