Chattogram: Law enforcers have arrested 238 individuals during their anti-drug operations across the 11 districts in the Chattogram division over the 24 hours on Tuesday. During the drives, 74,276 yaba pills, 19.568 kg of cannabis and 101 liters of locally produced liquor were seized.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chattogram Range DIG Abdul Kuddus Chowdhury reported today that 245 operations were conducted during the period. In this connection, at least 54 cases have been registered. Meanwhile, the arrestees were produced before courts.
DIG Abdul Kuddus stated that of the arrestees, mobile courts awarded 110 with different jail terms and imposed fines totaling Tk 23,900.
