Tejgaon: Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir has called on Lithuania to recruit more skilled and trained manpower from Bangladesh to fulfill its workforce needs. This appeal was made during a courtesy meeting with Lithuanian Non-Resident Ambassador to Bangladesh, Diana Mickeviciene, at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon on Monday morning.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the meeting covered various issues of mutual interest, including enhancing bilateral relations, trade and investment expansion, and cooperation in education and information technology. Adviser Kobir also suggested the establishment of a visa center in Dhaka to streamline the visa process for Bangladeshi citizens seeking opportunities in Lithuania.
The adviser praised the ongoing communication and cooperation between Bangladesh and Lithuania and emphasized the importance of further strengthening these bilateral ties. Ambassador Mickeviciene expressed her country's interest in expanding cooperation, particularly in the education sector.
Both parties reiterated their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and broadening cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.
