Saudi Crown Prince Extends Invitation to Bangladesh PM Tarique for Saudi Visit

Dhaka: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman of Bangladesh to visit Saudi Arabia. This visit aims to foster stronger bilateral relations and provide a platform for both leaders to exchange views on regional and international matters.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the invitation was formally delivered by Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah Zafer H bin Abiyah. During a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in the Secretariat on Monday, Dr Abiyah handed over the letter to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Shahadat Hossain Shadhin, the Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary, confirmed this development.

In his communication, the Saudi Crown Prince emphasized Saudi Arabia's eagerness to enhance relations with Bangladesh across areas of mutual interest. The focus is on fulfilling the aspirations of both nations and their peoples. The invitation underlines Saudi Arabia's intention to discuss strategies for strengthening bilateral ties and consulting on significant regional and international issues.

The specifics regarding the timing and schedule of Prime Minister Rahman's visit will be arranged through diplomatic channels at a mutually agreeable time. The Saudi Crown Prince also extended his best wishes for Tarique Rahman's continued health and happiness, along with ongoing progress and prosperity for the people of Bangladesh.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Prime Minister's Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir.
