Dhaka: The government has successfully implemented 80, or 74 percent, of the 108 decisions made during 17 Cabinet meetings held since the current administration assumed office up to July 31, 2026. Meanwhile, 28 decisions, accounting for 26 percent, remain in the process of implementation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this information was disclosed in the second-quarter report of 2026, which details the execution of decisions from prior Cabinet meetings. The report was presented during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Cabinet Division conference room in the Bangladesh Secretariat.
The report further elaborates that during this period, 84 summaries were submitted across the 17 Cabinet meetings. To accelerate the implementation of these decisions, the Cabinet Division convened 43 inter-ministerial meetings from February 17 to July 31.
In addition to decision implementation, the Cabinet approved seven policies, strategies, and action plans. It also endorsed the signing or ratification of drafts for three international agreements or protocols, one of which has already been signed, while the other two are still in progress.
Throughout the tenure of the current government, a total of 104 laws have been enacted during sessions of the Jatiya Sangsad.
