Dhaka: The government has announced a strategic initiative to ensure that major public offices, including the Bangabhaban, Cabinet Division, Prime Minister’s Office, Planning Commission, and Finance Division, significantly rely on solar power to meet their electricity needs for official activities. This decision marks a shift towards sustainable energy solutions in public administration.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Cabinet Division released a circular on Monday detailing this new directive. The circular emphasizes that other government offices will also be required to gradually increase their use of solar power. This phased approach aims to enhance energy efficiency and promote environmental sustainability across all levels of government operations.
