the dhaka metropolitan police (dmp): arrested 174 people in a series of special drives conducted across several police station areas in the capital over the past 24 hours as part of its ongoing anti-crime campaign.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests included 66 suspects from Tejgaon Division, 25 from Mirpur Model Police Station, 33 from Turag and Bangshal police stations, and 25 from Hazaribagh and Uttara East police stations.
Separate DMP statements indicated that the drives were carried out in crime-prone areas targeting individuals involved in various criminal activities, including wanted fugitives and accused in regular cases.
The DMP said that the special operations will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities across the capital.
