Khulna: Khulna University (KU) will observe July Mass Uprising Day on August 5 with a daylong programme featuring a rally, drawing competition, cultural performances, and special prayers. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a university notice signed by Acting Registrar Prof. Dr. S.M. Mahbubur Rahman outlines the schedule for the day.
The observance is set to commence with a rally starting from Odommo Bangla Square at 11:00 am. Following the rally, a drawing competition will be inaugurated at the School of Fine Arts courtyard at 12:00 pm, culminating in a prize-giving ceremony.
In the afternoon, different university clubs will present a cultural programme at Odommo Bangla Square from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The day's events will continue with special prayers (Doa Mahfil) at the university's central mosque after Zuhr prayers. Additionally, prayers will be conducted at the temple when convenient.
The university has encouraged students, teachers, officers, and employees to actively participate in the day's programmes.
