Dhaka: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman today announced that the recommendations of the Law Reform Commission will be implemented in accordance with the July Charter. The announcement was made during the inauguration of a tree plantation program and a month-long tree fair held on the old DC Court premises in Jhenaidah.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister highlighted that the interim government had issued 133 ordinances based on the commission's recommendations. While most of these reforms have been accepted, a special committee has been established to address and amend the remaining ordinances.
In response to queries about Sheikh Hasina's potential return, Minister Asaduzzaman emphasized that the government would ensure all necessary legal procedures are followed if she returns. He assured that Sheikh Hasina would face the court, and the government would act in compliance with legal standards.
Regarding the Habiganj attack case involving NCP leaders, the minister stated that the investigation would be conducted impartially, and legal actions would be pursued against those found responsible. The event was attended by State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Rashed Khan, Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Noman Hossain, and Zila Parishad Administrator M.A. Majid, among others.
