Naogaon: A school teacher was killed after being run over by a bus in Dayaler Mor area of the district town this morning. The deceased was identified as A.T.M. Yusuf, 45, a resident of Hajipara in Jagatsinghpur area of the town and a teacher at Joypurhat Technical School and College.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place around 8 am when Yusuf's motorcycle collided head-on with a battery-run autorickshaw, causing him to lose control and fall onto the road. At that moment, a speeding BRTC bus traveling from Baludanga Bus Stand toward Muktir Mor ran over him. He was crushed under the bus and died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Asaduzzaman of Naogaon Sadar Police Station confirmed the fatal road accident and said that necessary legal procedures would be carried out.
