Dhaka: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) successfully arrested 66 individuals in a series of special operations conducted by the Mirpur Model and Paltan Model police stations. These operations were part of an ongoing effort to curtail criminal activities in the capital, taking place over Wednesday and Thursday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Mirpur Model Police apprehended 36 individuals on Wednesday during a targeted operation in areas known for high crime rates. The detained individuals include those involved in regular and warrant-related cases, as well as suspects linked to various criminal activities.
Simultaneously, the Paltan Model Police undertook a similar operation on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of 30 individuals from different high-risk areas. The police have stated that these arrests were made under the provisions of the DMP Ordinance. Following their detention, all arrested individuals have been presented before the court for legal proceedings.
