Dhaka: A man was killed in a road accident at Michael Mor intersection in Keshabpur upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon. The deceased was Mohammad Ali, 75, son of late Mokhsed Ali Morol of Patrapara village in Keshabpur upazila. He previously served as the commander of the Keshabpur Freedom Fighters' Association.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police reported that Ali was travelling by motorcycle to the Keshabpur upazila headquarters from his home when a Dhaka-bound passenger bus from Satkhira struck and ran over him. The collision left Ali critically injured.
He was immediately taken to Keshabpur Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. Sub-Inspector (SI) Sanjoy of Keshabpur Police Station confirmed the incident and stated that legal proceedings are underway.
