Dhaka: Prime Minister's Environment, Forest and Climate Change Affairs Special Assistant Dr. Md. Saimum Parvez today announced that the current government is dedicated to enhancing the living standards of the impoverished through the implementation of the Family Card and Farmers Card programmes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saimum emphasized the government's commitment to proving its effectiveness through action rather than rhetoric. He highlighted the dual objectives of improving the lives of ordinary citizens and advancing societal welfare by offering incentive packages for women. These remarks were made during the inauguration of a newly constructed building for the Shahbazpur Union Land Office in Shibganj Upazila.
Saimum noted that the Jamaat party has come to recognize the Family Card as a valuable initiative, prompting their interest in participating in the programme. The new land office facility was completed with an investment of Taka 90.47 lakh, marking a significant development for the local administration.
The inauguration ceremony saw attendance from local administrative officials and leaders from the ruling BNP and its associate bodies. In addition to his speech, Dr. Saimum Parvez engaged in environmental activities by planting trees at Sahebnagar Government Primary School and distributing tree saplings to students, reinforcing the government's commitment to environmental sustainability.
