Rajshahi: Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) Managing Director Golam Mortuza today emphasized the importance of meeting all business targets for the current fiscal year to maintain the bank's profitability. 'The present government aims to build a skilled, robust and inclusive financial management system in the country. It is also committed to bringing banking services to people's doorsteps,' he stated.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the remarks were made during a daylong views-exchange and performance evaluation meeting titled "Formulation and Implementation of Action Plan" for the Rajshahi Zone, held at Nanking Darbar Hall in the city. During the meeting, a strategic plan was unveiled to disburse loans amounting to Tk 400 crore to customers in the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The meeting also saw the formulation and discussion of various action plans aimed at enhancing services for farmers, entrepreneurs, and environmentally friendly businesses. Special guests General Managers Taj Uddin Ahmed and Mizanur Rahman participated in the discussions, while Zonal Manager Mohabbat Ali Biswas presided over the program.
Mohabbat Ali, speaking on the formulation and implementation of the action plan, highlighted the bank's objective to reduce classified loans to 10 percent within the current fiscal year. The program concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to branch managers who demonstrated outstanding performance across various indicators.
